It’s finally come to this, where the mess in our house is just too much to handle, mostly because of the cats.

Oh and happy 2nd birthday my beloved cats.
I moved the litter box to our downstairs toilet. The room is pretty small but it was barren and could use some furniture. I found this Ikea hack which could be used as a sideboard/shelf against the wall, with the added use of hiding the litter box from plain sight.
I bought a white STURVA frame and a BESTA door but after assembly, the litter box didn’t fit! Even with a small box, the door wouldn’t close properly. Also, a 60x64 door was too heavy and too bulky to open. So, I need to find another system to hack. Good thing IKEA accepts returns!
Here are my three new candidates for the litter box cabinet. All three have a bigger depth than the STURVA. I’m inclined to go with the LILLANGEN cabinet however, since it has two doors and also transparent - so that my cats won’t be pawing in the dark while they’re doing their business.
I miss the times when my cats were really friendly with each other. Nowadays they hiss and swipe at each other even though there’s nothing to fight about. I’m not sure if it’s because Twix isn’t fully healed yet, or they are competing for my affection.
